Feather Dance is a whimsical, abstract painting inspired by the beautiful feathers of the peacock. I used iridescent and gold paints to accent the flowing dance movement of the feathers.

Peacocks are one of the most beautiful birds and beloved around the world for their exotic beauty. Many religions around the world revere them and use them symbolically in their teachings.

In early Christian artwork, the peacock was symbolic of purity, love, glory, Jesus's resurrection, and eternal life. King Solomon was the richest and wisest king in the ancient world of his time. He mentioned peacocks being shipped in from other countries. Peacocks are mentioned in 1 Kings 10:22, 2 Chronicles 9:21, and Job 39:13.
