I started this painting as a sample to show my beginning art student, who was taking lessons in my home. I painted right along with the student to show him the process.  The subject was kept simple to allow him to use his own additions and imagination. The painting is a whimsical study of a purple lily with white feathers and little flowers and butterflies swirling around it.

 

My happy place is sitting outdoors looking over the countryside where the only sounds are coming from nature, a gentle breeze is blowing, butterflies are flitting from flower to flower, and God whispers His love in my ear.
