TOWARD THE LIGHT: Wall prints
“Toward The Light”
Sometimes I just like to relax in front of the TV and draw at the same time. One evening I grabbed my large sketchpad and began doodling the large orange flower on the left. Then I added flower after flower from my imagination. They seemed to be reaching towards the light, so I named it that. Most living things are drawn to the light. Living in darkness is not healthy for most living things, although there are some plants and animals that adapted to the dark. Imagine living in total darkness. Imagine being blind. If you can read this, you are so blessed! I love sunshine. It makes me happy. There is so much beauty in this world to enjoy!
There is also a spiritual light and darkness. Have you ever noticed that most criminals like to work in the secret of darkness? They don’t want to be seen or caught. They don’t want their sins to be revealed.
John 8:12* Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
Ephesians 5:8* For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:
1 Thessalonians 5:1* ¶ But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.
2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
3* For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
4* But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
5* Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
6* ¶ Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.
7* For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.
8* But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
