Kintsugi (金継ぎ, "golden joinery"), also known as kintsukuroi (金繕い, "golden repair"), is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by mending the areas of breakage with lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered gold, silver, or platinum. As a philosophy, Kintsugi is the art of repairing something that has been broken with gold, with the understanding that the object is more beautiful because it has been broken. Like the art of kintsugi, God repairs the brokenness in our lives and makes us more beautiful through the process.

 

This life is full of heart aches, sufferings, unanswered questions, and yet there is a lot of joy and good things as well.  We can become bitter or better through our struggles in life. None of us can make it without God’s help.  We all need to trust in God to get through this life.  Allow God to turn your broken heart into a heart of gold.

 

A broken vase can either be thrown out, or repaired. We can throw our life away, or turn it over to the expert who can turn it into a thing of beauty.
