I began painting during our church services in December 2012.  This was my second painting started at church on December 16, 2012 and finished in January 2013. I had to use my own hand as a model, since it would be rather awkward to ask someone during church to “pose” for me.  It represents God’s loving hand over the Earth and His protection in this day of uncertainty and fear. We do not need to fear what is going on in the world, because we know that we are in the loving hands and care of our Heavenly Father who holds the world in His hands.

 

1 Peter 5: 6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: 7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

 

2 Samuel 22:3 The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence. 4 I will call on the Lord, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.

 

Psalm 37:3 Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. 4 Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

 

Psalm 40:3 And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord.  4 Blessed is that man that maketh the Lord his trust.

 

Revelations 1: 17…Fear not; I am the first and the last:18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

 

2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
